    A vector pattern is on average around 1.5MB this also depends on complexity of the elements on the pattern.

  • How can I search for a specific vector design?

    On the home page, select ‘Patterns’, click on one of the 3 category options and select if you want to explore by individual patterns or by ‘collection’. On the Keyword Search box, insert your motif ( e.g. baby) if you looking for a specific elements within the pattern.

  • How can I visualize favorite pattern on a product that is not listed in your website?

    Please contact us, we will do our best to provide visual view of a pattern on your product.

  • How do I get the Pantone number for a purchased vector design?

    The Pantone No can be found via https://www.pantone.com/color-finder. By entering the HEX code, the RGB or CMYK values.

  • What is a (pattern) repeat?

    The repeat of a pattern is the smallest element of a seamless pattern. We encounter repeats on all surfaces which are to be embellished with pattern designs, e.g. clothing, home textiles, wallpaper etc.

  • What is a vector graphic?

    Vector graphics are computer graphics that are defined in terms of points, which are connected by lines and curves. Vector designs have the unique advantage over raster graphics in that the points, lines and curves may be scaled up or down to any resolution without losing the quality of a pattern. Also a vector design requires less storage space compared to e.g. a raster graphic. The seamless vector patterns at ART Patterns are all set up in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format.

  • What is the difference between the file formats SVG and PSD?

    The SVG format provides unlimited possibilities in recoloring, the extraction of single ornaments/elements and resizing, unlike to PSD format where this possibilities are either achievable at a great expense of time and effort. The size of a vector designs in SVG format can be downsized to 5% or upsized by 700% without any loss in quality.

  • What license type shall I buy?

    There are three different license types available. Each license type corresponds with a certain use, our license page can help to determine the right type for you.

  • What license type shall I choose when I se the vector patterns for my products (which I sell)?

    The license type – ‘Vector Unlimited’, it cover the usage right for commercial use.

  • What scalable means?

    Scalable means sizable, it enables to enlarge or minimize vector graphics and drawing parts.
